Michael St. Amand
1959 T.D.A.

Michael acquired the 1959 Seagrave through his godfather who bought it from four retired Spokane Fire Department firefighters who bought the rig when the city moth balled the rig in the mid 80's.
Michael became interested in old apparatus because he is a third-generation volunteer firefighter and is testing to become a full time firefighter. Michael's godfather had this piece of apparatus since 1990 and never put an effort into restoring it. Michael finally had some free time and some side cash and he went to work on it at his home in Deer Park, WA, which is north of Spokane, WA.

This apparatus was in front line and reserve status from 1959 until the mid 90's. It has a Hall-Scott 935 straight six with a 5-speed transmission. It is a 100' aerial with 1-50', 2-35', 1-28', 1-26' ground ladders and 2 Pompier Ladders. Michael recently re-wired the lighting for all the lights and he is now in the process of re-wiring the engine (it still has old cotton jacketed wiring in it). The serial # is K8720 and the model # is HS935T.
