Gregory Fruge'
1957 900AB

The city of Lincoln Park Michigan received this truck in March of 1957. The Seagrave 900AB was originally specified to be a open cab, but the city wanted a closed cab. The factory even sent a instructor to teach the firefighters the correct operation.

Gregory bought the truck from the City of East Tawas, Michigan about two years ago. The truck was still fully operation and everything still worked on the truck. Gregory comments, "This is a fun vehicle to operate. It has all of the required tools and equipment which includes a life net and ladder pipe nozzle." Gregory has all of the original papers and the truck has never been stored out side.

Gregory and his family lived in Detroit in the early fifties and then moved up by Port Huron Michigan. One of his older brothers was on the Detroit FD and that's how Gregory became a Seagrave fan.

Firefighting in the blood.

Gregory says, "I can remember seeing them when I was a little guy, my brother would let me come by the fire house and see him when he was on duty. He worked for Detroit from 1950 to 1975."
Gregory himself is a firefighter with the US Air Force as a civilian federal firefighter since 1974.
